Our pre-dental program will prepare you to gain acceptance to a dental school accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Evangel offers two options for pre-dentistry:
Normal predental program (4-year BS in biology, then 4 yrs in dental school)
Accelerated/Early Entry (3-year BS in biology and 4 yrs in dental school).
Normal Track: You may pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or Biological Chemistry through our Pre-Dentistry track. Experienced professors provide both hands-on and practical training in general biology, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and physics. With a strong foundation in the sciences and a focus on dental health and the treatment of dental disorders and diseases, you will be prepared for a successful future career in dentistry.
The integration of a Christian worldview and compassionate care is a hallmark of our pre-dentistry program. Learn how to integrate your faith and the pursuit of science as you focus on providing future dental care.
Pre-Dental Track, Early Admission: By participating in the Biology-Early Entry program as a pre-dental student, you will gain early acceptance to Kansas City University’s College of Dental Medicine (CDM) by the end of your sophomore year and have a reserved seat in dental school after completing your junior year of courses at Evangel University. In this program you are not required to take the DAT exam, forgo your final year of undergraduate work, and start dental school during your fourth year. Upon completion of the fourth year of schooling, you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Evangel University, and then complete the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in three more years.
