Disability Studies

Complement your call to service with our disability studies minor. You’ll learn the skills needed to effectively serve and provide resources to people with disabilities.

Our experienced professors will provide insightful instruction on disability types classified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). You will also be equipped with an understanding of the most effective resources used to aid and empower those with disabilities in their pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling life.

A key focus of education within this program will be on

  • Social psychology
  • Education of the exceptional learner
  • Special education resources
  • Family engagement

This minor is available to all students pursuing majors outside of the education department.
