SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University will host its first annual Young Adults Conference on Sept. 10-12. The event begins Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Spence Chapel on Evangel’s campus. In addition to EU students, the conference is open to community members 18-30 years of age. Tickets cost $10 with an add-on option for meals and may be purchased online at evangel.edu/yac24.
The conference will feature speakers Drs. Mike and Darla Rakes, Evangel University president and ambassador to students and donors, as well as Peter and Joanna Reeves, Assemblies of God ordained ministers and national evangelists. Worship will be led by Jeff Deyo, Grammy-nominated and Dove-award winning musician.
In addition to evening sessions, the event includes after-service activities and games, dessert, and a variety of discounts from local businesses for conference attendees throughout the three-day conference.
“There is so much potential inside of Christian young adults today and I’m excited to introduce the Young Adult Conference that will encourage and inspire them to pursue the plans God has for their lives,” said Mark Entzminger, Evangel’s vice president for student development. “This inaugural event is just the beginning. We look forward to building on this foundation as we provide this conference to our students and young adults in the community in the future.”
