SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University will host a dedication ceremony to celebrate the completed construction of Valor Courts, three half-court basketball venues on Friday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will be located on the EU quad north of the Cantrell Student Union.
The ceremony will feature remarks and prayer from Dr. Mike Rakes, EU’s president, and Josh Hendrickson, EU student body president. The EU drum line will kick off the event and food trucks will be on site. All attendees will receive a special surprise gift to commemorate the occasion.
Valor Courts are one of several projects included in Rakes’ presidential initiative to enhance community spaces on Evangel’s campus. In addition to the playing space, patio seating around the courts will be installed this summer.
