Daniel Sebastian grew up in the beautiful big sky country of Montana before attending Evangel University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. After graduating he earned his license as a Certified Public Accountant. His accounting experiencing, which has been intermixed with his academic research, has included a variety of contexts including different sized public accounting firms, a private small business, a regional bank, and a not-for-profit. Additionally, he has spent time with Assemblies of God World Missions serving at Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels, Belgium and also taught as a guest lecturer at Addis Ababa Bible College in Ethiopia.
Sebastian research and teaching focuses on the combination of accounting, business, and economics with theology, ethics, and philosophy. He is interested in the way that theology and philosophy interact and the way both shape the way we act in the world. He is a member of multiple academic societies including the Society for Pentecostal Studies and the Society of Christian Ethics. He and his wife Meredith have one child who loves to ride his bike and play at the park.
