Tell us about your career and what you do now. I have been teaching P.E. for 21 years and coaching football for 25.  I have been a head HS football coach for 14 years.  When the opportunity to work at the The Kings Academy came available I jumped at it even though it was not a head coaching position.  The school has been amazing for my 3 kids.

What is your favorite memory from Evangel?  Meeting my wife, hanging out with Josh Bartlotti and Peter Ramsey, playing football, the comradery of my teammates, and getting my two degree’s.

How did Evangel help you identify/develop your calling? It gave me everything, all the tools to be a teacher and a coach, I am beyond grateful to my professors and coaches who prepared me for my career.

How did your experience at Evangel prepare you for life after graduation?  I felt fully prepared for my career as a teacher and coach.  I felt confident and ready to be a teacher when I was done with the program.  My masters program really gave me a lot more insight into being the best teacher I could be and am so thankful to have been one of the first to go through that program.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?  You are so lucky to be at Evangel where professors know your name and truly want the best for you!  I have seen so many teachers come out of other school’s education programs not prepared for the classroom, Evangel will have you ready.

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?  Enthusiasm, work ethic, servant leadership, and a sense of humor.
