Tell us about your career and what you do now.
My wife, Ruthanne, and I began our ministry with the Assemblies of God in America in 1976 serving as youth pastors in Kettering, Ohio for four years and then as pastors of a church in Valley Center, Kansas for four years. We have been missionaries (Europe) from 1984 to present.
I previously served on the AGWM European Leadership Team, as AGWM Country Coordinator for Belgium, as the Development Team Leader for Continental Theological Seminary, Brussels Belgium, as the pastoral leader for the international fellowships of Malmö Europaporten Church (Sweden), as interim pastors for Copenhagen Christian Center, as Senior Pastors for Brussels Christian Center from 1995-2005, preceded by almost ten years as missionaries to Rome, Italy where we were the founding pastors of International Christian Fellowship.
We are actively engaged in developing strategic initiatives that promote networking opportunities. Our primary activities include leading the International Program team of Convoy of Hope, engaging with the leadership of Global International Church Network (GICN), which they launched in 2012, Fellowship of European International Churches, a network we founded in 2004, International Christian Fellowship in Malmo, Sweden and with the teaching team of Accenture Christian Fellowship. Also, I am a Certified Life Coach with Coach Training Alliance as well as a Certified Behavioral Life Coach with Institute for Motivational Living.
What is your favorite memory from CBC?
Believe it or not, the ordinary days of doing ordinary things all the while knowing that extraordinary things were being done in me and through me.
How did CBC help you identify/develop your calling?
The CBC community and atmosphere provided moments where I could encounter God, engage with mentors to seek counsel and empowered relationships where I could ask questions.
How did your experience at CBC prepare you for life after graduation?
Honestly, I felt I was standing on a platform that gave me the courage to engage, the confidence that I could continue to learn and the connections to draw from as needed.
What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Make every effort to be prepared in prayer, your personal life, and God’s passionate calling for you.
What would you look for if you were in a position to hire a new graduate?
Someone who is passionate in heart/spirit/call, proficiencies/skill in the areas for which they are being hired. Someone who has a personal commitment to living with integrity and loving God and others intentionally.
