Tell us about your career and what you do now.

I have been a Music Pastor since leaving CBC in 1985. God has given me so many amazing opportunities such as a Musical Guest for the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Traveling to so many states and churches preaching and singing. Fine Arts Festival judging, worship teams for OMN. So many opportunities that I could only have dreamed of. I also have had the opportunity to serve the Ohio Ministry Network in many capacities. My current role is that of Assistant Regional Presbyter and Network of Women Ministries Representative.

In my free time, I am a long-term Government teacher at a local High School this year and love the investments in my students.

What is your favorite memory from AGTS?

My classes and professors. The opportunity to actually attend AGTS physically was impossible for me, but the amazingly talented professors made it feel like we were there. I especially loved the Zoom calls with Dr. Jaffe and the class.  Those were special times of relationship building. I feel that AGTS and Evangel do a great job of connecting the online community with the campus.

How did AGTS help you identify/develop your calling?

AGTS was my opportunity for me to finish what I had started so long ago. I have learned so much and grown even at the age of 59. I never want to become stagnant in what God has called me to do.

How did your experience at AGTS prepare you for life after graduation?

AGTS helped to keep me fresh. When you have been in ministry for 30 years, it can be easy to become stuck in a rut. I grew in my knowledge and that, in turn, helped me with my ministry in the local church.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?

Always be a student! Work hard! And most of all keep Jesus at the Center!

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from AGTS?

1)A teachable spirit. None of us have arrived and someone willing to always be a student, in whatever capacity would be an ideal teammate for my staff.

2) I always want to know about what their salvation experience was and their testimony.

3) I want to watch them at work. I am not so concerned about grades (although important), you have to be a person of conviction in your calling.
