SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Wesley Gore will perform his senior horn recital at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 20, in the Barnett Recital Hall at Evangel University.
There is no charge for admission, and the public is invited to attend.
Gore’s performance will include the following pieces:
• Cello Suite No.2 composed by Johann Sebastian Bach/transcribed by Wendell Hoss
• Divertimento composed by Jean Francaix
• Elegie composed by Francis Poulenc
• Sextet in E-flat Op. 81 composed by Ludwig van Beethoven
Dr. Linda Ligate, professor of music at Evangel, will provide piano accompaniment.
For the Beethoven sextet, Eric Jackson, Evangel faculty horn instructor, will play the horn; Gregory Dissmore, junior music industry major, will play the violin; Alicia Dair-Esquer, sophomore biblical studies major, will play the viola; and Autumn Bennett, senior mathematics education major, will play bari saxophone.
Gore, senior music performance major, is the son of Frederic and Lois Gore of Springfield, Mo.
Following graduation, Gore will be pursuing a graduate degree in performance.
