Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

Prepare to teach English to students on a national or international scale with our TESOL minor program that allows you to pursue your vocational calling.

Learn more about how language theory and practice combine in a classroom setting. Our experienced instructors provide comprehensive training on

  • History and Structure of the English Language
  • Assessment and Pedagogical Grammar

Gain a strong understanding of the syntax of the English language and the most effective methods of teaching English to foreign speakers. Effective in both ministry and marketplace settings, our TESOL program prepares you to make an impact in the lives of students around the world. At the undergraduate level, you can major in English with the TESOL track or, minor in TESOL, or you can complete a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate. Graduate students can complete TESOL courses as part of their program.
