I grew up in Michigan to parents who were alumni of Evangel, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to attend this school. Although my initial career plan was to become a medical doctor, a medical mission trip provided insights to change my direction. While working on my master’s program in biology, I fell in love with teaching at the college level. God opened the door for me to begin teaching at Evangel soon afterward, and I thoroughly enjoy my time of working with students! I love walking alongside them during their educational journeys and mentoring them as they discover their passions and prepare for their futures! My goal is to teach with excellence and challenge the students to learn and experience more than they think is possible.
I met my husband, Jeremy, in band when we were both students at Evangel. He is the chair of Evangel’s Business Department and teaches courses in Data Analytics. We have three amazing sons: Jacob, Ryan, and Tyler.
