Springfield, Mo. — Evangel will be launching the Community School of Arts Feb. 15, 2010. The Community School of Arts is an outreach of Evangel University’s music and humanities departments bringing education in the arts to people of all ages and abilities within the southwest Missouri community.
Classes in strings, guitar, piano, voice, drawing, photography, worship guitar playing and worship piano playing will be offered. Class sizes will be limited.
Each hourlong session will meet once a week and run for 10 weeks beginning mid-February through the end of April. Each class fee is $125 (not including additional materials).
Instructors include Evangel adjunct faculty members Clint Harrison (guitar), Lane Simmons (photography), Mike Burnette (voice), and David Bigelow (drawing), Susan Sheets (piano) and Starla Blair will be teaching the Suzuki violin program.
