SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel science professors Dr. Steve Badger and Dr. Mike Tenneson recently had a chapter titled "Teaching Origins to Pentecostal Students" published in "The Spirit Renews the Face of the Earth: Pentecostal Forays in Science and Theology of Creation," Amos Yong, ed., Eugene, OR: Pickwick Press, 2009.
Another chapter, "Does the Spirit Create through Evolutionary Processes? Pentecostals and Biological Evolution," will appear in "Science and the Spirit: Pentecostal Engagements," James K.A. Smith and Amos Yong, eds., Bloomington, IN: Indiana University Press, 2010.

Badger, professor of chemistry, has been a faculty member at Evangel University since 2001. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg; an M.A. in biblical literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Mo.; and a B.S. in biology from William Carey College, Hattiesburg, Miss.
Tenneson, professor of biology, has been a member of Evangel's faculty since 1987. He holds a Ph.D. in science education from the University of Missouri-Columbia; an M.A. in missiology/biblical literature from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Mo.; an M.S. in biology/statistics from University of North Dakota; and a B.A. in biology from the University of California-Los Angeles.
