SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University is one of 16 private liberal arts colleges and universities in Missouri that will benefit from the generosity of Novus International and Commerce Bank which recently provided scholarship grants to the Missouri Colleges Fund.
Novus International provided a $16,000 grant that will underwrite science scholarships at each of the 16 MCF schools, and Commerce Bank provided a $15,000 grant that underwrite scholarships that will be awarded by the member schools on the basis of financial need.
“Evangel University is grateful to be among the recipients of this generous gift to higher education,” said Dr. Robert H. Spence, president. “Many students would not be able to attend college without the assistance of scholarships, and we are indebted to the Missouri Colleges Fund, Novus International and Commerce Bank for providing resources to educate the workforce of tomorrow.”
The MCF was formed in 1952 as a nonprofit corporation. Its mission is to acquire resources to help educate students at each of the private liberal arts colleges and universities that are MCF members.
