SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – More than 200 Evangel University students will volunteer during Make a Difference Day, Saturday, Oct. 25. The event is being sponsored by LifeWorks: The Center for Leadership and Life Calling, CROSSwalk student ministries, Evangel Student Senate, and the Evangel Activities Board.

Students will be leaving campus at 8:30 a.m. to assist at sites such as The Center for the Blind, Arc of the Ozarks, Red Cross, Convoy of Hope, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and various agencies in Springfield.

“Preparing students to serve the church and the community is part of the mission of LifeWorks,” said Donna Trower, Evangel’s 2008 Make a Difference Day coordinator. “We express our commitment to our community by helping others.”

Activities include working with children, painting, raking yards, cleaning windows, sorting clothes and a variety of other activities.
