Springfield, Mo. — Evangel’s Student Development Division has recently undergone changes with the combination of departments and addition of new staff.

Departments formerly known as Student Life and Student Activities have merged to create the Department of Community Life, led by Gina Rentschler, the former director of student life.

Rentschler also leads the new student orientation team. The all-new orientation is called “EU Launch” and takes place Aug. 22-26.

“Restructuring was made in order to function more efficiently and provide more coordinated service to support students,” said Dr. David Bundrick, vice president for student development.

The new Department of Community Life will be configured as follows:

Evangel University is a private, coeducational university that offers more than 100 undergraduate academic programs and eight master’s programs. Evangel draws students from all 50 states and abroad.
