Cheer

Our spirit program at Evangel University is growing to be among the most recognized in our conference and the nation. The ultimate goal of the cheer team is to build the spirit of the school, while upholding the philosophy of the college. The cheer program is afforded the opportunity to demonstrate their superior skills at football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball games, as well as at national competition with UCA, as seen on ESPN. The Evangel Cheer team is comprised of twenty-six men and women, in which four men and twelve women will be chosen to represent the school at the national competition.

2009-2010 Season Outlook

The 2009-2010 EU Cheer Team is looking stronger than ever. With the majority of the team being returners, we are able to start working on more advanced stunts for our games and competitions. This year the EU Cheer team added its first-ever All-Girl Team. Former EU Cheerleader, Katie Gabel, will be volunteering and assisting the current coaches with the All-Girl Team. This is the first time that Evangel has ever had two cheer teams. Having two teams will make us more competitive with other schools in our conference. Now that the season is underway, please join the EU Cheer squad at our games and help raise our school spirit.
