The social sciences take on the fascinating study of mankind in a systematic, all-encompassing manner. Possibly more than any other area of study, the social sciences bring together a broad scope of interests — from a study of the past and its meaning in the present to the workings of government and public institutions.

In Evangel's Department of Social Science, you have the opportunity to learn about history and culture within the unique framework of a Christian environment.

The department offers study in American and world civilization, government, legal studies, conflict resolution, economics, geography, anthropology, international/multicultural studies, and public administration.

The Honorable Samuel Der-Yeghiayan to receive Distinguished Alumnus Award
Federal Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan, Chicago, is the recipient of Evangel University’s 2008 Distinguished Alumnus Award. The award will be presented by the Evangel Alumni Association on October 10 during the Homecoming chapel service.

Dr. Bryan Sanders, professor of legal studies and government, has been invited to speak at the 2008 Christian Pre-Law Conference. The three-day conference will be held March 13-15 at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va.
