The primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed and living in poverty. The Bachelor's degree in Social Work prepares individuals for generalist social work practice as well as graduate study. The goal of the Social Work program is to offer a curriculum that helps students integrate professional practice with a Christian perspective. Graduates are employed in health care centers, schools, correctional settings, mental health facilities, governmental agencies (such as family and child welfare), business and industry, and community development organizations.
