Mission, Goals & Objectives
Mission Statement
In light of the University history and mission statement, the following has been adopted as the mission of the Social Work Program.
The Evangel University Social Work Program provides bachelor’s level students with a sound base of knowledge, values and skills from the generalist perspective which will empower them to integrate their faith and evidenced-based practice within diverse settings and prepare them for graduate education in social work and other related fields.
The Evangel University Social Work Program acknowledges its responsibility to the social work profession, to the University, and to the Christian community-- that is, to prepare students for generalist social work practice and/or to continue their education toward the advanced generalist social work graduate degree within an environment which allows each student to integrate a liberal arts education and professional practice training, with a Christian perspective. In order to fulfill this responsibility, the program seeks to provide a living and learning experience, which encourages the development of the whole person.
