The Evangel experience focuses not only on academics, but we provide practical application to the knowledge you gain in classes.

For example, our students work with local police departments in conducting covert alcohol compliance investigations at restaurants and convenient stores. They participate in the investigation, write a police report, and testify in court. What hands-on great experience!

In our courses you will not only learn about criminal investigations but you will actual CONDUCT criminal investigations just like on CSI!

Want to take part in some awesome on- and off-campus events? Or see how your investigative skills, firearms precision and physical agility match against other CJ Majors at other colleges? Evangel’s chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association is a great way to do that. Our chapter of the ACJA, Theta Alpha Delta, represents God, Truth and Justice. We attend conferences that include competitions in crime scene investigation, firearms, physician agility obstacle course and academic testing. Our students have won many trophies at the conferences. We are so proud!

The conferences also include job fairs and some very interesting presentations such as famous criminalist Dr. Henry Lee.

Evangel also offers a firearms course where you will be shooting better than most law enforcement officers on the streets.

Our student can do police ride-a-longs with a variety of police agencies and shadow criminal justice professionals in a variety of agencies such as probation and parole, juvenile justice and corrections.
